We cooked 80 pounds of Cajun Spiced peanuts and sold enough to make $572 for the Animal Mission. The Pro Bono Program and SALDF is the Best Law School Boiled Peanut Team in the country! Enjoy these photos: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmqZKvxt
Thanks to our amazing team of law students in just a few days we will have updated the 20 pages of resource links in the SC Bar Disaster Resource Manual. This will make it not only easier for lawyers to respond to questions from the victims but also to provide them with the latest and most effective assistance. Many times the calls to the Disaster Legal Assistance Hotline are not about a legal issue but about access to services.
This is what lawyers to best and as students you are part of this team!
You either love boiled peanuts or hate them but it turns out that a Boiled Peanut Festival is a great way to raise money for a no-kill animal shelter! Help needed bagging and selling our boiled peanuts on Sept. 29th. The most bags sold WINS a prize. It is not about the peanuts it’s all about the winning!
Help select the flavor we will submit on Sept 20th for a tasting and voting.
The 22nd Annual WIL to Run 5K is set for the morning of September 29. Register today to walk or run but if you just want to volunteer, your help is needed. You have the skills to do this! Hand out water or stand on a street corner and direct runners! Cheerleading welcomed!

2018 was a busy year! The Pro Bono Program established itself as the anchor for the corner of the 3rd floor. The office is bright and full of memories, ideas and plants! But moving from the old law school was just the beginning! A big step was the formation and implementation of our first Alumni Advisory Council. This core group of 10 dedicated former students met with our current board and have already started to add their voice and ideas to the pro bono mix.
