Ready for volunteers! My Will-2017-18

If you are a 2L or 3l and have any interest in estate planning, elder law, wills or just plain helping people then the My Will Project may be just the thing for you. This is a joint project with the SC Bar Pro Bono Program and the Central Midlands Office on Aging with a goal of providing wills for low income senior citizens.

Law students will work along side local volunteer attorneys as scriveners and witnesses in the preparation of the wills.  The My Will Project is conducted once a month from 9-12 on Friday. Beaufort Co. Blitz

On June 16th, Sarah Efird ( 3L) , Gabe Strenk ( 2L)  and Lashawnda Woods- Roberts ( 3L)  traveled to Bluffton, SC to join members of the Beaufort Co. Bar Association and Robin Wheeler, Director, SC Bar Pro Bono Program in a Friday Blitz!  Friday Blitz’s are team efforts to address the backlog of questions posted by the public to the SC Bar’s online Q & A site.  The team responded to over 150 questions, many of them in the family law area but also touching landlord-tenant, probate and school law issues.  Job well done team!
