to out newest guardians ad litem. They have received their training from Richland County CASA and are ready to start advocating for the best interests of abused and neglected children. This is not a volunteer opportunity for everyone and that is ok but for those who are able to help in this way, our hats and hearts go out to them. Stuff you can use… Real Bad Habits Learned in Law School
From the blog Above the Law comes this great reminder of bad habits “learned” in law school. Things like:
- ‘reading’ cases but not taking the time to re-read if necessary;
- relying on someone else’s outline
- not balancing your life and school
- Procrastination- a bad habit that can be disastrous in practice
- Not learning from your mistakes
- Not realizing how much law school can change you
Don’t panic, there is still time to break those bad habits.

The pictures tell the story
yesterday a hard working group of students represented the USC School of Law and the Pro Bono Program with great professionalism and skill. Along with attorneys they drafted and responded to 99 questions posted by the public to the SC Bar online forum. It was not always easy to determine the issue or even the question but eventually a thoughtful response emerged. The “group think” was amazing. We had answers!!! enjoy your colleagues at work!
